Avocado has gotten a bum rap for years. It’s been shunned and put down because of its high fat content. But according to THB’s brain aging expert, Dr. Dharma, avocados are one of the best vegetables you can eat for your brain.

Avocado contains the “good” kind of fat found in EVOO. These fats are used as building blocks for the protective covering of your neurons. In fact, it’s been found that Alzheimer’s is linked to low levels of fatty acids in the brain.

But that’s not all you get with avocado — it’s also high in vitamin E, vitamin A and potassium and has powerful antioxidant properties that help slow aging. When you eat avocado regularly you’ll get added protection from cancer and heart disease too.
